It was familiar territory as the previous season he finished 118th to secure the last card. Could not replicate that in 2010, however, as he finished 146th, but despite a nervy final round at Qualifying School Final Stage at PGA Catalunya Resort he took the 30th card to secure his playing privileges once again. Started playing in his native Brittany at the age of 12, after watching The Open Championship on television. Father and mother both play. His father, Patrick, is a former professional footballer who played for various clubs including Monaco, Marseille, Rennes and Nancy and played three times for the France national football team, where his caps were limited by playing in the same position as the legendary Michael Platini. Played football himself and was signed to Rennes until he chose to concentrate on golf aged 16.
