Giboudot arrives at Golf Bluegreen de Pléneuf Val André sixth on the season-long Rankings, having recorded a runner-up finish at the Danish Golf Challenge and third place at the season-opening SDC Open in South Africa.

The Blot Play9 marks the first of back-to-back events in France and the 22-year-old is excited to be in his home country, especially whilst in top form.

“I’m happy to be home with all of the support,” he said. “My family will be here, and the home spectators are also here which is good.

“I will treat the tournament the same as every tournament through the year, I won’t do anything different, I just might enjoy it a bit more.

“I know this course, it’s a bit crazy, you never know what you’re going to shoot here. Getting the approach right is important. With the wind and the weather, the course is only going to get drier so my approach could change during the week.”

Giboudot recorded his best result of the 2025 campaign at last year’s edition in Pléneuf and with five top ten finishes in his in his 64 starts on the HotelPlanner tour, will be looking to go one better this week and claim his maiden win.

“I feel like I have done some really good things since the beginning of the year,” he added.

“I still feel like I have so much more to do to earn promotion this year. I need to score good and make sure I keep scoring points on the Road to Mallorca. We’re nearly halfway through the season so there is plenty more to do.

“I feel like I’m so close. Every tournament is so tight. I know it will come, and I’m almost happy that it hasn’t come too early as I still have the hunger and want to win each week, so I’m not worried about that too much yet.”

Blot Play9 has established itself as one of the mainstays on the HotelPlanner Tour schedule, and this weekend marks the 19th edition of the event. Enhancing the spectator experience over recent years, Blot Play9 boasts two hospitality areas, overlooking both the 12th and 18th greens, and the addition of a Saturday night music set to create a festival style atmosphere in Pléneuf. This year’s concert includes DJ sets from artists such as Kavinsky, Petit Biscuit, Banbz, Sweet Galley and Queen Amann.

Giboudot is part of a strong field in Pléneuf, including Road to Mallorca Number One MJ Daffue, Pablo Ereno and English Open Supported by HotelPlanner winner John Catlin.
