While precision over power was a strategy implemented by many, Eugenio Chacarra stood out with his showing on the greens as he became the first three-time winner on the DP World Tour this season at the DP World India Championship.
The Spaniard, who won titles in the Netherlands and Italy over back-to-back starts in June, was one of 112 players in the field to have a utility iron in his bag as he brought into play a one iron in favour of a three wood.
With the rough thicker at Delhi Golf Club compared to last year's inaugural edition, Chacarra was one of just 56 players - a drop of 24 on last year - teeing it up who had a driver.
With a premium placed on finding the fairways off the tee around the narrow 6,912-yard layout, Chacarra's caution paid off as he gained 0.51 strokes on the field in Strokes Gained Off the Tee.
But more impressive from a statistical standpoint was his showing on the greens, with his TaylorMade Spider Tour S putter - brought in at the BMW PGA Championship to replace the PXG Apache Battle Ready II - seeing him finish fifth for SG: Putting as he picked up 2.16 shots on average per round.
Apart from that, his bag was the same as for his two previous wins on the 2026 Race to Dubai.
Chacarra, who now leads the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World, is next in action at this week's Genesis Championship in South Korea as he makes his 29th appearance of the season.
