Danish Golf Championship: Fantasy DP World Tour Powered by Axi ones to watch

The DP World Tour returns to action after a three-week break with the penultimate event of the Closing Swing at the Danish Golf Championship and here is all that players of Fantasy DP World Tour Powered by Axi need to know.

It has been three weeks since Stefano Mazzoli lifted the trophy at the Corales Puntacana Championship and on Thursday the Closing Swing picks back up at Great Northern.

Todd Clements is the highest-ranked player in the Swing in action this week, with home hero Jacob Skov Olesen also in the top ten.

2023 winner Rasmus Højgaard and fellow Ryder Cupper Thorbjørn Olesen also tee it up among the home contingent, as does rising star and reigning Australian Open champion Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen.

Neergaard-Petersen is not the only 2026 winner on display this week as an elite field gathers in Kerteminde.

Eugenio Chacarra has two wins to sit third on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World and he is joined by Richard Sterne, Yurav Premlall, Mikael Lindberg, 2019 and 2021 champion Bernd Wiesberger, Jordan Gumberg and Freddy Schott.

Major champions Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson also tee it up, as does Rolex Series winner Paul Waring.

Who are the most backed players

There is a strong preference towards players from Denmark this week, with five-time DP World Tour winner Rasmus Højgaard the most popular pick and he is followed by countryman Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen as the pair feature in 73% and 72% of teams respectively.

There is then a big drop to Thorbjørn Olesen in third at 39%, with Finland's Oliver Lindell and South Korea's two-time PGA TOUR winner K.H. Lee completing the top five, with both featuring in 18%.

Who has the Edge?

Playing on home soil this week, the DP World Tour winner has a top ten and a top 20 in his last five starts. On his way to finishing tied sixth at the DS Automobiles 83° Open d'Italia, he made 20 birdies and an eagle across the week so is certainly a player who can get on a hot streak. Across the season, he averages 97 points an event.

The 38-year-old has not missed the cut at this event since 2019, registering two top 20s in that time, and thus guaranteeing points for Fantasy managers. With that in mind, he appears a risk-free pick.

Others to watch

Favourite - Eugenio Chacarra

The Spaniard comes in as a favourite with the bookmakers this week and quite frankly, it's not hard to see why. He is the highest-ranked player in the field on both the Official World Golf Ranking and the Race to Dubai Rankings Delievered by DP World and has two wins in just over two months across his last five appearances. In eight consecutive apparances on European soil he has just one missed cut with those two victories and three other top 25s, And while it may have been at a diffwerent venue, he finished in the top 20 at this event last year. He has long said he believes he is among the world's best when his game is on and now he is starting to prove it.

Form Horse - Oliver Lindell

Consistent barely covers what the Finn has achieved over the last 12 months. Since finishing in the top ten at this event he has missed just one cut and that was bback in October at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. In making every weekend in his 19 starts across the 2026 season he has racked up a runner-up finish and four top tens to sit 11th on the Race to Dubai rankings Delivered by DP World. That runner-up finish and one of his top tens came in his last four starts where he has also registered a tie for 13th and then a tie for 36th in the rarified air of a Rolex Series event co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR. All that is missing is a win and surely, surely it cannot be far away.

Looking Back - The Open Championship

Ryan Fox may have looked every inch the Major champion when he rolled in the winning putt on the final green at Royal Birkdale but he had certanly flown under the radar with our players, handing just 1.11% of them 199 points.
