WINSTONgolf completes the hat-trick

WINSTONlinks course at WINSTONgolf in Vorbeck, home to the WINSTONgolf Senior Open, has been voted Germany’s best golf course.

After winning awards from Golf Magazine in 2011, when the WINSTONlinks course was voted the ‘best new golf course’ in Germany and being voted the ‘best golf course’ in Germany in 2015, the Vorbeck layout has now claimed a third title.

In GOLF JOURNAL’s ‘Golf Course MoT’ the WINSTONlinks Course was voted the best golf course in Germany with 83 points out of a possible 100, ranking it among the best in the world. It was also voted the second best in GOLF JOURNAL’s travel awards, up from tenth place last year.

WINSTONlinks course manager Jordan Tschimperle said: “We are totally overwhelmed and absolutely proud. Not only of my course team, but also of the entire WINSTONgolf team who have made a decisive contribution to this success. These two results show us that we are on the right track. My team and I will now make every effort to make sure we occupy the leading position, which we only just missed.

Director of Operations Stefanie Merchel said: “The present two distinctions are an official accolade for our golf course, which is still quite young. With so much motivating us and with wind in our sails, and with our partner hotels Gut Vorbeck, Schloss Kaarz and Schloss Basthorst, we can strengthen our established position as a top destination for golfing holidaymakers.”
