The trio will be part of an all-star field at the Renaissance Club from July 9-12, 2026, with five of the top ten players in the world now confirmed – as Fleetwood and Fitzpatrick join World Numbers One and Two Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy and defending U.S. Open champion J.J. Spaun.

Also returning to Scotland’s national open are defending champion Chris Gotterup, three further past champions in home favourite Robert MacIntyre, newly-crowned US PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai, and double Major winner Xander Schauffele, alongside five-time Major champion Brooks Koepka and European Ryder Cup star Viktor Hovland.

Reigning FedExCup champion and former Race to Dubai winner Fleetwood returns for his 12th Genesis Scottish Open appearance, having recorded three top ten finishes, including runner-up to fellow Englishman Rai in 2020.

The 35-year-old World Number Seven enjoyed a memorable end to the 2025 season as he recorded his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance – lifting the trophy for the third time – sealed his eighth DP World Tour victory at the DP World India Championship, and secured his breakthrough win on the PGA TOUR. He recorded his sixth top ten of the 2026 season last week at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday.

Fleetwood said: “I’ve played well at the Genesis Scottish Open over the years and it’s an event I always enjoy coming back to. It’s in a great spot in the calendar in the week before The Open, so hopefully it’s a memorable fortnight this time around, playing in the home of golf and then on home turf at Royal Birkdale.”

World Number Four Fitzpatrick also boasts an impressive Genesis Scottish Open record, with three top tens in 12 appearances, including runner-up in 2021.

The 2022 U.S. Open champion and ten-time DP World Tour winner has enjoyed plenty of memorable moments in recent months, including joining Fleetwood in the historic European Ryder Cup win in New York last September, ending the 2025 season with victory at the DP World Tour Championship, and notching up PGA TOUR win number five alongside brother Alex at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April.

Fitzpatrick said: “It’s been an enjoyable season so far, winning twice on the PGA TOUR and sharing the victory in New Orleans with Alex, and I’m pleased to have the Genesis Scottish Open as part of my upcoming schedule. It’s always a great week, with the players from the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR coming together at the Renaissance Club.”

Kim is South Korea’s leading player at 18th in the Official World Golf Ranking and will come into the Genesis Scottish Open seeking a fifth PGA TOUR win and first on the DP World Tour, after notching up his eighth top ten of the season at Muirfield Village Golf Club last week.

The 30-year-old became the youngest ever winner of THE PLAYERS in 2017 before making his debut for the International Team in the Presidents Cup later that year. He has gone on to establish himself as a stand-out performer and fan-favourite in the biennial contest over his three appearances.

Kim, who is making his fifth appearance at the Genesis Scottish Open, said: “It’s exciting to be able to come back to the home of golf each season, especially at an event that combines a bit of both South Korea and Scotland, and I cant wait to return to the Renaissance Club in July.”

The Genesis Scottish Open is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, counting on both the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World and the FedExCup, and boasts Genesis, the luxury automotive brand from South Korea, as title partner.

Genesis is title partner of two tournaments on the 2026 Race to Dubai, with the Genesis Championship in Korea rounding out the Back 9 in October, as well as two tournaments on the PGA TOUR’s 2026 schedule. The Genesis Scottish Open follows The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, which ended with an impressive breakout win for American Jacob Bridgeman.

The event also benefits from the continued commitment of the Scottish Government and VisitScotland through to 2028, with the Renaissance Club remaining as host venue until 2030.

The fan experience at the Genesis Scottish Open includes the Fringe by the Tee pop-up stage, in conjunction with the Fringe by the Sea festival, with The Feeling and Toploader already confirmed as the Friday and Saturday headline acts, and more to be announced soon.
