Robert MacIntyre is confident he will be wearing Team Europe colours once again at Bethpage Black next year as he aims to maintain his strong start to the Ryder Cup qualification process at the BMW PGA Championship.
Wentworth Club hosts the fourth event towards the 2025 European Ryder Cup qualifying standings following the Betfred British Masters, the European Masters and last week's Amgen Irish Open.
The 28-year-old was in contention at Royal County Down, but had to settle for fifth place as Rasmus Højgaard's barnstorming finish saw him beat local favourite Rory McIlroy to the title by one shot.
MacIntyre made his debut during the 2023 edition of the biennial contest at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome - picking up 2 ½ points from his three matches - and he is focused on being back in Luke Donald's 12-player team in New York next September.
"It is always the best event of the year we play, and look, when the weather is decent like this, there's not many better places to be," MacIntyre said ahead of the third Rolex Series event of the season.

"But it's just good to be back and playing and seeing familiar faces and being comfortable in the environment.
"Now the goal is to get obviously back on the Ryder Cup Team and obviously try to win golf tournaments every week. That's my job and there's so much that goes into winning them.
"For me, it's just give myself as many chances as I can, and last week was the same. I gave myself a chance. Sunday I wasn't at the races and that's part of it."
On his Ryder Cup expectations, he added: "Last year was obviously a big picture situation. I'm in the biggest events in the world now. I can schedule well. I can prepare the best I can for events.
"I expect myself to get there at Bethpage. I'm not going to put any extra pressure on myself.
"I think I knew I was always good enough. I've achieved things that I've dreamed of achieving as a kid, and I've still got more dreams I want to achieve, and I'm only 28.
"So there's plenty of time to achieve them. Yeah, just this year is just a building block."
MacIntyre is the latest Rolex Series winner after claiming a one-shot victory at the Genesis Scottish Open in July, 12 months after being pipped by McIlroy in his home event by the same margin.
The World Number 16, who has also won on the PGA TOUR this season, is targeting more success after his third DP World Tour title at The Renaissance Club.
"It's (Major Championships) up there now," MacIntyre added. "Obviously I had won before a Major - the Scottish Open. I never knew how many chances I was going to get especially after last year.
"You never know how many real chances you're going to have to win that. Thankfully I got another chance this year and took it.
"This is the flagship event on the Tour. I mean, this is the next one behind the Scottish Open for me on Tour outside of the Majors."
