With victory at the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship, Jon Rahm moved ahead of Tyrrell Hatton to become the player with the most Rolex Series wins.
Rahm arrived at Yas Links level with great friend Hatton on five triumphs in the DP World Tour's blue riband events and the duo went out together in the final group on both Saturday and Sunday.
In the end, it was Rahm who made it six of the best as a closing 67 handed him a two-shot win on his event debut.
Here, we take a look at Rahm's Rolex Series history and just what it means to be number one.
The history
Alex Noren was the first Rolex Series winner at the 2017 BMW PGA Championship, claiming a two-shot win at Wentworth Club to take his place in the DP World Tour history books.
Tommy Fleetwood won the second event at the Open de Fance but it was not long until Rahm got in on the act at the Irish Open.
The Spaniard was around the top of the leaderboard all week and shared the lead heading into the final round, where a closing 65 handed him a thumping six-shot win and a first DP World Tour crown.
Incredibly, he has been the leader or co-leader for number of Rolex Series wins ever since.
His second win came later that same season in at the finale in Dubai as he held off a world-calss field to win the DP World Tour Championship.
A third-round 65 had catapuled him into contention but it was a closing bogey-free 67 that held off the challenge of Kiradech Aphibarnrat and a fast-finishing Shane Lowry.
He was joined on two wins in 2018 as Noren won the Open de France and Justin Rose successfully defended his Turkish Airlines Open title but the following year he would burst out of the pack as he once again completeed the island of Ireland and Dubai doiuble.
At Lahinch, he started the final round five shots back but stormed through the field with a closing 62 before ending the season in spectacular fashion at the DP World Tour Championship.
Arriving at Jumeirah Golf Estates third on the Race to Dubai, he edged out Tommy Fleetwood by one shot to win it all.
He would be caught over the next two seasons as Hatton added to his victories at the 2017 Italian Open and 2019 Turkish Airlines Open with wins at the 2020 BMW PGA Championship and 2021 Abu Dhabi Championship but more Dubai glory was to come.
At the season finale in 2022 Rahm held off Hatton and Noren to make it a hat-trick of Earth Course wins but he would once again be reined in by his great friend and Ryder Cup team-mate at the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Victory at Yas Links, however, now means that Rahm is once again out in front as the undisputed king of the Rolex Series.

What he said
"I've always been aware of their importance, especially early on when we had eight of them. I always tried to tailor my schedule around it. In a different way it feels like the old World Golf Championships, something above the regular events and I take pride in trying to be the one to have the most. I was quick to get to five. I won two in my first year and in 2019 I won two again, I'm happy I broke the tradition and won a different one."
