Brand-new Community Day to take place at BMW PGA Championship

This year's BMW PGA Championship will feature an action-packed Community Day in a brand-new initative for the Rolex Series event at Wentworth Club.

Supported by leading global technology company HCLTech, an Official Marketing Partner of the DP World Tour, a series of activations will take place on September 15 as part of the Tour's Golf for Good programme.

Through collaboration with a series of organisations and the Golf Foundation, the official charity of the BMW PGA Championship, the on-site extravaganza of planned activities will see:

 Working with Pobble, an award-winning educational platform helping children develop a love for writing, around 160 students from Surrey-based schools will receive a tour around the host venue, along with an outdoor classroom lesson in the Fan Village.

Arranged alongside the Kate & Justin Rose Foundation, who are providing opportunities for disadvantaged young people in the UK to experience the life-time rewards of golf as a sport, a Dryvebox mobile simulator will be on site for 25 children and their parents to use.

To highlight the impact of Special Olympics, the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, 12 participants and their guides will take part in an active session led by EDGA's Head of Instruction and Education and supported by the DP World Tour.

The Surrey Wildlife Trust will provide an educational talk in the Village.

HCLTech will conduct meet and greets with attendees, highlighting how they are helping the Tour to reimagine how fans worldwide discover, follow, and engage with the sport of golf.
