• His fifth European Tour International Schedule victory in his 481st European Tour event.
• Moves to €1,027,606 in The Race to Dubai. Is the fourth time during his European Tour career he has amassed more than €1 million in a single European Tour season. The first time he has achieved this since 2006.
• Moves into the top 95 of the Official World Golf Ranking, from 176th.
• His first European Tour victory since the 2006 BMW PGA Championship, a gap of seven years and 124 days. This represents the biggest gap between victories of his European Tour career.
• In that time has played in 200 European Tour events between victories.
• This victory beats his previous best performance since the 2006 BMW PGA Championship of tied second in the 2008 Open de Portugal.

• Began the final day two shots behind. The second of his five European Tour wins he has made up a final round deficit. The first was the 2005 BMW International Open when made up one shot.
• The fourth Englishman to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, following Lee Westwood (2003), Nick Dougherty (2007) and Simon Dyson (2009).
• Victory comes in his 13th appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. (Has played every year since the event began in 2001).
• Victory beats his previous best performance in the Alfred Dunhill Championship of third in 2001. (Has also had a further three top eight finishes).
• Become the tenth winner of the event to come from Great Britain and Ireland from the 13 times the tournament has been played.

• His 72 hole winning total of 265 (-23) is a new Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, record beating the 266 (-22) of Michael Hoey (2011) and Branden Grace (2012).
• Becomes the 282nd English victory in European Tour history.
• Becomes the fifth Englishman to win on The European Tour in 2013. They are: Chris Wood (Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Justin Rose (US Open Championship), Paul Casey (Irish Open), Tommy Fleetwood (Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles) and David Howell (Alfred Dunhill Links Championship).
• Gains a European Tour exemption until the end of the 2015 season.
• Gains a place in the 2013 WGC – HSBC Champions, 2014 Volvo Golf Champions and 2014 WGC – Bridgestone Invitational.
• Moves over €12 million in European Tour Official Career Earnings.
