With the course at Los Inkas Golf Club playing a lot harder on Friday, Challenge Tour champion Alan Wagner of Argentina struggled in a round of 74 to lose the lead at the Toyota Peru Open on the Tour de las Americas.
The 21 year old from Buenos Aires, who won the co-sanctioned Club Colombia Masters in 2009, had opened up a three stroke advantage with a dazzling round of 64 on the opening day, but now trails Nilson Cabrera by one shot after the Paraguayan signed for a round of 70 to move to seven under par in Peru.
Wagner is bidding to win the event for the second time, having captured the title in 2008.
