With six out of the top ten positions at the halfway point of the Masters Tournament occupied by European Tour Members, we bring you a few snippets of what they had to say...
Sergio Garcia:“I don't know if I'm ready to win. I'll see. We'll see. It depends how I play tomorrow, and then it depends how I go out there on Sunday and how I play. I wish I could tell you I'm ready to win, but I really don't know. So I'm just going to give it my best try, and you know, hopefully that will be good enough.”
Rory McIlroy:“It’s great to see Fred up there, and it just adds a little more spice to the weekend. He's just cool. I hope I'm that cool when I'm 52, or whatever he is….. I'm in a nice position and I definitely would have taken it after the start yesterday.”
Louis Oosthuizen:“You know, it's a weird spot for me to be in to be third at the moment. I am normally busy changing tickets back home. It's a nice spot to be in.”
Lee Westwood:“I'm good position going into the weekend, and I'm not going to be too far off the lead. That's a position you want to be.”
Miguel Angel Jiménez:“Well, the two old guys could be here on Sunday? Two shots is not far away. You know, there's going to be a lot of attention here, a lot of drama. It always happens here on this golf course, and you never know what can happen on the weekend.”
Paul Lawrie:“I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing. Not going to get too far ahead of myself. I have no aspirations of what's going to happen, I will just have a bit of fun and see what happens.”
