There is no doubting the biggest (or should that be longest) talking point this week on the European Challenge Tour: the 783-yard, par six 15thhole at the D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge.
It is the longest hole in Europe, and the only par six on any of the European Tour, Challenge Tour or European Senior Tour, as the Jack Nicklaus-designed Legend Course at Penati Golf Resort offers up a stern test of distance, accuracy and tactics.

At last year’s tournament, won by Borja Virto on his way to securing third spot in the Road to Oman Rankings and a place on the European Tour this season, there were 26 eagles made over the course of the week and an incredible 227 birdies, so though it may be long, it offers scoring opportunities.
And there may even be the possibility of some of the bigger hitters holing their third shots for a rare albatross – or, even less likely, making a two for a condor, a score that has never been recorded in professional golf.
