Robert MacIntyre was thrilled to secure a Ryder Cup debut after claiming the last qualifying place from the European Points list.
The left-hander from Scotland finished in a tie for 55th in Switzerland after a closing 70.
However, Poland's Adrian Meronk and Germany's Yannik Paul did not manage to produce the top-three finish they needed to overhaul MacIntyre.
“I am so excited,” MacIntyre said. “It’s been a tough qualifying campaign, but I am pleased with the way I have dealt with the challenge and to have earned one of the six automatic spots.

“I’ve worked hard to play in the Ryder Cup, but now it’s important that we go on and win it.”
MacIntyre joins Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Viktor Hovland on Luke Donald's European Team, while Matt Fitzpatrick is also Rome bound after taking the last World Points list place with his tied-third finish at Crans-sur-Sierre.
Donald is due to name his six captain's picks on Monday.
