John Parry and Joel Moscatel each secured a second win of the season during June, to close the gap on runaway Road to Mallorca Rankings leader Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen.
Englishman Parry and Spaniard Moscatel find themselves within striking distance of Neergaard-Petersen through 14 events of the 29-event season, with all three now targeting a third win which would see them earn automatic promotion to the DP World Tour.
Dane Neergaard-Petersen remains in pole position though after a stellar first half of the campaign, with two wins and four other top ten finishes seeing him rack up 1,061 points in just 13 starts.
The gap between Neergaard-Petersen and Parry, who occupies second in the Rankings, is down to just 74 points following an outstanding run of form by the 37-year-old. In his last five outings alone he has one win, one second place, a tenth place and a 16th place finish to his name which has boosted his chances of promotion.
Moscatel is another that has impressed through the first half of the campaign, with his second win of the season in the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge last week putting him on 870 points, 107 behind Parry’s total.
Frenchman Alexander Levy has been a model of consistency so far this term, with the five-time DP World Tour winner well-placed to return to golf’s Global Tour at the earliest opportunity after narrowly missing out on keeping his card in 2023. He’s the current Number Four on 606 points with five top tens which includes a solo second in the Abu Dhabi Challenge.
Kaskáda Golf Challenge winner, Hamish Brown from Denmark, rounds out the top five on 567 points having made every cut so far this year.
22-year-old South African Robin Williams has two top five finishes on the Challenge Tour in his last four starts which has seen him climb into sixth in the Rankings on 503 points, with countryman Deon Germishuys just five points behind in seventh.
Englishman Joe Dean (488 points), who earned playing privileges through Qualifying School last year, is seventh thanks to two second place finishes on the DP World Tour, with Bain’s Whisky Cape Town Open winner Mikael Lindberg (486 points) from Sweden just behind him in ninth.
Andreas Halvorsen from Norway is another player to have made every cut so far this season, and he completes the top ten on 458 points. Rounds of 66-66-66-71 saw him break into the winner’s circle at the Danish Golf Challenge to catapult himself up the Rankings.
Following the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge last week, Frenchman Benjamin Hébert made the biggest move into the top 20, climbing 24 places to 12th in the Rankings after a second place finish on home soil.
There are also places inside the top 20 for Welshman Rhys Enoch (15th), Swede Björn Åkesson (16th), Frenchman David Ravetto (17th) and Englishman Garrick Porteous (20th) who have all won on the Road to Mallorca this season.
The Road to Mallorca returns with the Euram Bank Open at GC Adamstal in Austria from July 18-21.
