Marco Penge will tee off alongside two Major champions when he gets the defence of his Open de España presented by Madrid title under way on Thursday.
The Englishman claimed his third win of the 2025 season 12 months ago at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, earning himself a debut at the Masters Tournament and helping him gain dual membership with the PGA Tour.
Two men who know plenty about Augusta National and playing in the United States are 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia and 2013 U.S. Open winner Justin Rose - who Garcia defeated in a play-off to win his Green Jacket - and they will tee off from the first alongside Penge at 2.00pm local time in round one.
Local favourite Nacho Elvira starts ten minutes earlier in the company of Ryder Cup stars Alex Noren and Nicolai Højgaard, with 2024 champion Angel Hidalgo starting alongside Thomas Detry and Andy Sullivan at 1.40pm.
Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World leader Patrick Reed gets his week started from the tenth at 9.30am and he will have a close look at one of his nearest rivals for the Harry Vardon Trophy in Eugenio Chacarra.
Shane Lowry completes that trio having already won one national open this season with his remarkable 11-shot home triumph at the Amgen Irish Open.
Lowry's Ryder Cup team-mates Ludvig Åberg and Tyrrell Hatton start ten minutes earlier alongside rising Spanish star Angel Ayora, while last week's winner Adrian Meronk has Jeff Winther and Manuel Elvira for company at 9.10am.
