We’re just two days away from the first Major of the year and Augusta National today announced the groups and tee times for the opening two rounds.
The ceremonial group at the Masters sees the defending champion paired with the reigning US Amateur winner, andJordan SpiethandBryson DeChambeauwill be joined in that group byPaul Casey, teeing off at 9.48am local time.
The first round will get under way at 8.20am on Thursday with ‘last man in’Jim Hermanand AustralianSteven Bowditch teeing off in the only two-ball of the day.
The last group off features World Number ThreeRory McIlroy, two-time Major championMartin Kaymerand AmericanBill Haas. That trio will tee off at 2.01pm.
There are a host of headline groups on Thursday, including two-time Masters championBubba WatsonalongsideBranden GraceandIan Poulter at 12.44pm.
At 10.43am, two over 40 year olds will team up in the form of
Phil Mickelson
and
Henrik Stenson
. Whilst Mickelson will go in search of his fourth green jacket, Stenson will look to become just the second player in history to pick up his first major at Augusta over the age of 40. Those two will be joined by
Marc Leishman
who famously watched his friend Adam Scott win here in the final group in 2013.
Rafa Cabrera-Bello
has plenty of experience to feed off in his group at 12.22pm on Thursday. The Masters rookie will be joined by 2011 champion
Charl Schwartzel
and the US Ryder Cup Captain and two-time Major winner
Davis Love III
.
Another European Tour member,Andy Sullivan,will no doubt be smiling as he heads to the first tee for his first competitive Masters round at 10.32am. He will be joined by AmericansHarris EnglishandKevin Na.
Ryder Cup team-matesJustin RoseandJamie Donaldsonwill walk the fairways together for the first two rounds. They’ll get their Masters campaign under way with young AmericanDaniel Bergerat 10.54am.
