Ludvig Åberg will bring further flair to French fairways this autumn when he tees it up for the FedEx Open de France at Le Golf National from September 24-27.
The World Number 16 will make his debut in Continental Europe’s oldest national open, joining a world-class field that includes European Ryder Cup teammates Tommy Fleetwood and Viktor Hovland, and emerging French stars Martin Couvra, Oihan Guillamoundeguy and Tom Vaillant.
The Swede, who claimed his maiden DP World Tour title at the 2023 Omega Masters and was selected to represent Team Europe at Marco Simone by Captain Luke Donald the following day, will return to the outskirts of Paris for the first time since representing his country at the 2024 Olympics.
The 26-year-old has since added a second PGA TOUR title with a win at the 2025 Genesis Invitational, and featured in a second Ryder Cup, where he recorded Europe’s only victory in the Sunday Singles to help the team achieve success on American soil for the first time since 2012.
He will now look to make his mark on the fifth event of the Back 9, the second phase on the DP World Tour's Race to Dubai schedule that encompasses nine of the Tour's most historic tournaments and national opens, this September.
“I am looking forward to returning to Le Golf National and making my FedEx Open de France debut later this year,” said Åberg.
“It’s always a privilege to play in tournaments with so much history. I’m excited to experience it all for myself, and play again in front of the French fans.”
The FedEx Open de France, which was first staged in 1906 and became part of golf’s Global Tour in 1972, has seen some of golf’s most recognisable names, including Peter Oosterhuis, Seve Ballesteros, Bernard Gallacher, Sandy Lyle, Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Sam Torrance and Colin Montgomerie, claim the title.
Tickets for the 2026 FedEx Open de France are now on sale, with General Admission and Premium Hospitality packages available.
