Barry Lane continues his new career on the European Senior Tour in this week’s Van Lanschot Senior Open after an impressive debut a fortnight ago.
The Englishman finished joint runner up in The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship six days after turning 50, just missing out on becoming the youngest winner in Senior Tour history.
He will tee it up alongside former Ryder Cup Teammate Sam Torrance in the opening round at The Royal Haagsche Golf and Country Club.
Lane won five times on The European Tour and played in The 1993 Ryder Cup. He is looking to become the seventh first time winner on the Senior Tour this season following Kevin Spurgeon, Boonchu Ruangkit, Tom Lehman, Gordon Brand Jnr, Marc Farry and David J Russell.
