We take a look in the bag of 2025 Magical Kenya Open presented by absa winner Jacques Kruyswijk.
There may have been some changes to his bag since the start of the season, but the South African found the perfect formula as he won his maiden DP World Tour title at Muthaiga Golf Club.
Kruyswijk, a graduate of Qualifying School in 2023, was making his fifth start of the 2025 Race to Dubai and sixth consecutive appearance at this event siince it joined the DP World Tour schedule.
Having finished 104th last year on the season-long standings to retain his card, the 32-year-old switched out the TaylorMade P-790 UDI utility iron for the Callaway X Forged UT at the start of the new campaign.
Ahead of the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the first Rolex Series event of the year, he replaced his TaylorMade Stealth Plus three wood for the TaylorMade SIM 2 three wood, going on to finish 21st at Emirates Golf Club.
Further change was to follow ahead at the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, bringing in the new Srixon ZXi7 irons for the Srixon ZX7 MKII irons.
Ahead of last year’s Amgen Irish Open, he switched into the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke TD driver from the TaylorMade M4 (a model released in 2018).
Those clubs helped him rank fourth in the SG: Tee to Green category, while he was also in the top ten for SG: Approach and Greens in Regulation categories last week.
Another key attribute to his win was his putting, with his TaylorMade, Spider Tour helping him to rank in the top ten for SG: Putting and avoid a three-putt.
