David Horsey and Peter Whiteford remained tied for the lead early in the final round of the M2M Russian Open at Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club.
Horsey, twice a winner on the European Tour, briefly led by a shot when Whiteford, seeking a first European Tour victory after a couple of runner-up finishes, bogeyed the par four second hole.
However, the Englishman dropped a shot at the par four fifth to drop back to 12 under alongside the Scot.
At the next hole, a par three, both carded a bogey, putting them just two shots clear of Ireland’s Damien McGrane, Scott Jamieson of Scotland and Italy’s Andrea Pavan.
