The renowned event will celebrate its tenth edition on golf’s global Tour, having first been staged in 2015, and open the Asian Swing – the third of five Global Swings which form the first phase of the DP World Tour’s 2027 schedule.

The DLF Golf & Country Club, designed by nine-time Major winner Gary Player, will host the Hero Indian Open for the eighth time. The first edition in 2017 saw home favourite S.S.P. Chawrasia claim his second Hero Indian Open title, having been victorious at Delhi Golf Club the year prior, with a seven-shot triumph. In 2023, the venue was named India’s Number One Golf Club at the tenth Annual World Golf Awards.

England’s Alex Fitzpatrick won his maiden DP World Tour victory at the Hero Indian Open earlier this year. A stunning final nine holes at DLF Golf & Country Club - one of the toughest layouts on the DP World Tour - saw him overtake defending champion Eugenio Chacarra.

The 27-year-old joined his elder brother, European Ryder Cup star Matt Fitzpatrick, as a winner on Tour. The siblings made history as the first ever pair to win in successive weeks on the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour.

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters for 25 consecutive years, will be the Title Partner of two marquee golf tournaments next season, with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January 2027 being the other.

Hero MotoCorp’s relationship with the DP World Tour began in 2015 with the Hero Indian Open. This longstanding association, now entering its second decade is among the longest for any sports event in India and Asia - underpinning Hero MotoCorp’s pivotal role in elevating the tournament's stature to a premier international showcase.

The company has also supported the Hero Challenge - a series of fast-paced showpiece events and short-form social and digital content, as well as the Hero Open, which featured on the DP World Tour schedule from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Hero MotoCorp’s support extended to the inaugural Hero Cup, a team match play contest that provided European players with valuable experience in the format ahead of the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Ben Cowen, the DP World Tour’s Chief Tournament and Operations Officer, said: "We are grateful for the continued partnership with Hero MotoCorp and Dr. Pawan Munjal on India's National Open. Their unwavering support to this tournament and unparalleled contribution to global golf are invaluable.

“We look forward to returning to DLF Golf & Country Club for the eighth consecutive time. It is a world-class venue both on and off the course, which provides our players with a true test every year and we are grateful for their continued support and hospitality.

“I would also like to thank the Indian Golf Union (IGU), for their hard work in continuing to develop the game of golf in India. This tournament has played such an important role in their endeavours, and we look forward to another exciting edition in March.”

Dr Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman, Hero MotoCorp, said: “For over two decades, Hero MotoCorp has been integral to the evolution of India’s National Open, helping it grow into a tournament of international standing. More than a celebration of world-class golf, it has become a platform where Indian talent can test itself against the best and earn its place on the global stage.

“As we strengthen our global partnership with the DP World Tour, we see an opportunity to take this journey further - connecting Indian golf more closely with the world and bringing new perspectives, possibilities, and audiences to the game.”
