Five rookies to watch on the Road to Mallorca

The 2026 Road to Mallorca is five events into its 29-tournament schedule, and several players have already stamped their mark as they bid to earn one of the 15 life-changing DP World Tour cards on offer.

Below are five ‘rookies’ on the HotelPlanner Tour this year that have made fast starts to the campaign. They are worth keeping an eye on when the season reaches Europe in May…

As starts to the season go, they don’t come much better than the one made by Spaniard Pablo Ereno. At just 22-years-old, Ereno is in his first full season as a professional and made the most of invites into the opening two events of the year to catapult himself firmly into the promotion mix at this early stage of the season.

Ereno made his debut in the SDC Open and finished in a tie for 22nd after carding four under par rounds. The following week, at the CIRCA Cape Town Open, he teed it up in the final group on Saturday before eventually finishing tied fourth to earn additional playing opportunities. He bettered that two weeks later by finishing tied third in the Jonsson Workwear Durban Open, and made a fourth cut from five starts in Delhi at the end of March. Ereno currently sits seventh on the Road to Mallorca.

Daniel Rodrigues

Daniel Rodrigues has played solely on the DP World Tour so far this season after coming through all three stages of Qualifying School in 2025 to earn playing privileges. The Portuguese would end Q-School in a share of fifth and has taken full advantage of his starts on Golf’s Global Tour. He currently sits 48th on the Race to Dubai, while occupying 26th on the Road to Mallorca.

In eight starts, the 23-year-old has made six cuts, and spent time at the top of the Crown Australian Open leaderboard back in December before going on to finish tied 11th. He recorded the best result of his career to date in the Hainan Classic presented by MAEXTRO, finishing tied sixth following rounds of 68-68-68-70 at Mission Hills Haikou.

Similarly to Rodrigues, Hunter Logan earned playing privileges across both the DP World Tour and HotelPlanner Tour with a 17th place finish at Final Stage Qualifying School. The American has since teed it up on five occasions this season, with four of those coming on the DP World Tour.

While he may not have made the fastest of starts to his Race to Dubai challenge, his sole outing on the Road to Mallorca was more encouraging, as he shared a four-way tie for second place at the conclusion of the NTT DATA Pro-Am brought to you by Standard Bank. Rounds of 66-67-71 at Fancourt Golf Estate across a tournament reduced to 54 holes, see the 25-year-old 17th in the Rankings as it stands.

Adam Wallin

Adam Wallin has made an encouraging start to life on the HotelPlanner Tour after impressing on the Nordic Golf League in 2025. The Swede won three times last year to earn promotion to the HotelPlanner Tour and has shown signs that he could be in line to go back-to-back this term.

He’s made three appearances already his year, finishing 39th in the season-opening SDC Open before he recorded the best result of his professional career to date last time out in the DP World PGTI Open. Wallin, who shared the early lead at Classic Golf and Country Club, ended the week tied sixth, a result that saw him climb to 33rd in the Road to Mallorca Rankings as he leads the current crop of satellite tour graduates.

Jhared Hack

Jhared Hack has taken an interesting route to finding himself in a share of tenth spot on the Road to Mallorca Rankings through five events. The American has only teed it up on one occasion, doing so in the DP World PGTI Open where he fired a faultless seven under par 65 on the final day to finish the week tied second.

He earned his place in the field in Delhi following an outstanding start to life on the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). Having won Qualifying School to gain his card, he then won his first event and has since gone on to finish inside the top ten in each of his five starts – including in the co-sanctioned event between the PGTI and the HotelPlanner Tour in March. Time will tell whether or not Hack travels to Europe in the summer to contend for one of the 15 DP World Tour cards available.
