The European Tour will continue to expand its live social media strategy in collaboration with Facebook at this week’s BMW PGA Championship.
Using the social media giant’s Facebook Live platform, the European Tour will take fans around the world inside the famous gates of Wentworth Club, England, to provide an exclusive insight into one of the most well-regarded tournaments in golf.
From fascinating hole walks with former champions to intimate one-on-one Q & A sessions with European Tour players, from unmatched access to the stars featuring in the Celebrity Pro-Am event to fan-led tours of the venue and Championship Village – all this and more will be found on the European Tour’sFacebook pagestarting Tuesday May 24.

The move, which follows on from the launch of the European Tour’s Snapchat channel last week in Ireland, is the first in a number of long-term plans looking into how social media can help to grow the game of golf and the European Tour.
