DP World Tour stars attempt to make hole-in-one from Wynn Al Marjan Island

All golfers wish to achieve a hole-in-one, so ahead of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship we put some stars of the DP World Tour to the test – from the dizzying heights of Wynn Al Marjan Island.

From a platform on the 22nd floor of the Wynn Al Marjan Island, the challenge was a lofty one for Thorbjørn Olesen, Ryan Fox and Pádraig Harrington.

Currently being built and set for opening in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island is anticipated to become the first integrated gaming resort in the Middle East North Africa region.

With a floating green 280 yards away in the marina, and a 110 metre drop in elevation, being nearest the pin was a victory in itself.

But without the assistance of a caddie and a yardage book, how would the DP World Tour winners fare in the 'World's Highest Hole-in-One Challenge'?

While the trio were unable to make the ace, Wynn Resorts committed to donate 1 million dirhams to Heroes of Hope, a non-profit organisation founded to develop sporting, social and interpersonal skills for People of Determination.

Heroes of Hope has built an Inclusive and Diverse community for athletes with special needs and their families of all nationalities. They serve a community of over 800, comprising Athletes and their Families, Volunteers and Specialist Coaches.

One of their main goals is to have an Inclusive community that provides Equal and Fair opportunities for PODs, with continued access to Sports, Health and Fitness that will enhance their Quality of Life.
