Daniel Gavins continued his love affair with the Ras Al Khaimah Championship as he fired a spectacular hole-in-one at Al Hamra Golf Club on Friday.
The Englishman won this event two years ago and wrote another chapter in his story with the tournament at the par-three seventh hole in round two.
He holed his tee-shot from 167 yards using a pitching wedge to make his second ace on the DP World Tour before admitting he did not realise it had gone in at first.
He said: "My caddie said 'just hit this as hard as you can'. That's what he said and I did that, straight at the pin.
"And I didn't see it go in! This is the second hole-in-one that I've had and I didn't see it go in.
"I kind of got the nod from the green. There were about four people watching and I heard one clap so I thought 'oh, it must be close'.
"And then obviously we knew it went in about two minutes later.
"I just didn't see it with the sunlight.
"The greens are a really light colour so I kind of saw it going towards the hole and then I didn't know if it had trickled over the back or whether it had gone in."
