Nicolas Colsaerts joined Marcus Fraser in a share of the lead as the final round of the 70° Open d’Italia Lindt began at Golf Club Torino.
The big-hitting Belgian, who was forced to pull out of last week’s KLM Open with flu, comfortably reached the green in two at the par five opener and, although he missed a 15 foot eagle effort, moved to 11 under par with a birdie.
Fraser also picked up a shot at the first, but handed it back two holes later.
England’s Steve Webster, the winner of this event back in 2005, was one behind in second after a ten foot putt at the eighth gave him his third birdie of the day.
Home favourite Francesco Molinari, who joined the Turin venue as a junior, bogeyed the second and as a result was part of a large group on nine under.
