The dawn of the latest European Challenge Tour campaign means a number of things, but in this, we want to draw your attention to one in particular – the return of everyone’s favourite magazine show, the Challenge Series.
Taking in the action throughout the second tier season, each 30 minute episode will feature tournament highlights as well as player features, as we introduce you to the game’s next big things.
The Challenge Tour is Where Heroes Are Made, and that will be no different in 2015. All that remains to be seen is who those stars might be, and we will be there every step of the way to guide you through.
In this year’s first show, we open by clarifying to those who do not already know, exactly what the Challenge Tour is and where it sits in the global golfing landscape. From there, we take a walk down memory lane to highlight some of our brightest graduates, the stars of now who made a name for themselves right here before going on to conquer the world.
Then, to Madeira, where we might not have seen much tournament play due to torrential rain and strong winds, but Ricardo Gouveia – our top tip for success in 2015 – talks us through his hopes for the year ahead.
After that, Kenya, where we will have highlights from Haydn Porteous' win, where he hit one of the shots of the season (already) en route to a maiden title. While we were there we also journeyed to a local school with England’s Max Orrin as he introduced the local children to golf, while we also prepared for the final round with José-Filipe Lima.
Be sure to tune in this week and throughout the season as another fantastic Challenge Tour season unfurls.
